Applied custom branding but not seeing it on sign in and password reset pages?

If you have gone through the trouble of branding your extranet but are not seeing the branding applied to certain ExCM pages (such as the reset password and the registration page) you probably did not allow anonymous as suggested in our set up instructions. If you are determined that you do not want to allow anonymous on your web application, then you should be able to follow the below instructions and achieve the same look on these additional pages;

Extranet Collaboration Manager (ExCM) is designed so that you can customize the look and feel of your external enabled web application. When the user first hits the login page or registration page, they have not been authenticated by SharePoint yet, and thus do not have access to the directory with the customizations in it. Without a master page, the page would not be able to be seen. To compensate for this, our code looks to see if the user has access to the custom branding (ie anonymous access is turned on) and if it does not, it pulls a master page from our directory in the layouts folder… /_layouts/spsolutions

If you do not want to allow anonymous access (learn more about turning Anonymous Access on) then you will need to make a backup copy of the anonymous.master page in this directory and then make edits to the original in line with your branding scheme. Please note that this file may be overwritten with each update of ExCM. It is a good practice to keep a backup of the edited version of anonymous.master as well, in case it ever gets overwritten.
